How long will the exam take?

From start to finish, the entire exam takes about 30 minutes.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

You will need to bring your driver's license/photo ID, a list of any medical conditions, and a list of any medications you are currently taking.

What happens during the exam?

The exam consists of going through your medical history, current medications, checking your blood pressure, vision, hearing, reflexes, hernia check, and a urinalysis to check for blood, protien and sugar.

Will I get a copy of my forms?

Yes. You will get a copy of the exam, along with a laminated medical examiner's certificate to take with you. If you need your forms emailed or faxed to your employer make sure you have that information with you at the time of your appointment.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, all major credit cards, and company checks.

Do I need an appointment?

Due to the time needed to complete a DOT physical, we require appointments be scheduled. This is to ensure your valuable time isn’t wasted and a dedicated time is allotted to you. You can see available appointments and book directly through the "Schedule Your Appointment Now!" link on this page.

Does The DOT Doc offer on-site exams for companies?

We do!
For companies needing 10 or more physicals, we will come to your location to perform exams, complete the medical examiner's form and certificate, deliver completed exam forms and certificates electronically for company records, and even help your company track when recertifications are needed.
